Herndon Parks and Recreation

D Banzon Design has been working with the Parks and Recreation Department of the Town of Herndon on various marketing projects since 2005.

Their registration and pass sales saw a marked increase following the consistent mailing of postcards we produced featuring clean fresh designs. And the 2005 Fall postcard won a Virginia Recreation and Parks Society award for Best Promotional Effort.

In 2008 we revisited the Program and Events Guide, streamlining the information and giving it a fresh, contemporary feel. We switched it to a 4/color piece throughout and restructured the grid with narrower column widths. This gives the copy more breathing room and accomodates larger imagery. The result is much easier to read and colorful, playful, and enticing.

In 2008 the Department won the coveted National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Parks and Recreation Management.
